Atlantic Puffin
The Atlantic Puffin (Fratercula arctica), also known as the common puffin, is a species of seabird in the auk family. It is the only puffin native to the Atlantic Ocean. The external appearance of the adult male and female are identical. The striking appearance, large colorful bill, waddling gait and behavior of this bird have given rise to nicknames such as "clown of the sea" and "sea parrot".
This sculpture was inspired by a Floyd Scholz seminar. It is carved of Tupelo and painted with acrylics on a maple base.
The sculpture is 13” high. It is available for purchase.
